Bhambri & Harris capture at Mallorca Championships their first trophy

Indian and South African duo beat in the final Haase/Oswald by 6-3, 6-4

A superb debut for Yuki Bhambri and Lloyd Harris as a doubles pair. The Mallorca Championships will remain in the memory of the Indian and the South African as it is their first title in the category after beating Robin Haase and Philipp Oswald (6-3, 6-4) in the final on Saturday.Bhambri and Harris succeed Simone Bolelli and Maximo Gonzalez, champions in 2021, and Rafael Matos and David Vega (2022) in the list of winners of the ATP 250 that takes place in Santa Ponsa (Calvia).

Harris has completed a great week at the Mallorca Country Club with this doubles winner's title and the singles final, in a draw in which he entered after overcoming a Qualy in which he was listed as 'alternate'. For Bhambri the island of Mallorca has a special meaning, as the previous year he won the ATP Challenger of Manacor at the Rafa Nadal Academy.

After the match, both players were happy to have made their first ATP doubles appearance. "We had a great time. I really wanted to win this title, but we didn't expect it this week because we tried to enjoy every match and take it one match at a time. I think we played a great tournament in a wonderful place like Mallorca," said Bhambri.

Harris said he was also ecstatic. "We've both really enjoyed playing together this week. It adds up to a lot for me and I feel really satisfied winning this title," said the Cape Town player.
